Major R&D Breakthrough | New-Generation Epoxy Insulating Material for High-Frequency Transformers

2026-09-22
Driven by the growing power density of new energy systems and AI data centers, high-frequency transformers are evolving toward miniaturization and high power output. Temperature rise and heat dissipation have long been core bottlenecks limiting transformer efficiency and service life. Operating under high-frequency alternating electric fields, traditional epoxy insulation materials generate excessive dielectric heat. Their high dielectric loss causes rapid heat accumulation at elevated power loads, undermining equipment stability.
Shanghai Xrun has achieved a key R&D breakthrough with a new customized epoxy insulating material for high-frequency scenarios. The material features an ultra-low dielectric loss of below 0.2%, which fundamentally reduces dielectric heat generation. With a thermal conductivity of 1.2–2.0 W/(m·K), it efficiently dissipates internal heat and restrains temperature rise. Combined with high Tg and superior electrical insulation properties, it maintains stable insulation reliability under harsh conditions of high temperature, high frequency and strong electric fields, effectively mitigating thermal aging failure risks.
Xrun’s new product uniquely integrates <0.2% low dielectric loss, 1.2–2.0 high thermal conductivity and high Tg performance. This balanced multi-index solution reaches a leading technical level in the high-frequency transformer epoxy material industry.
