The structural characteristic of a dry-type transformer is that the coils and metal conductors are cast, conductors are embedded with epoxy resin. Epoxy resin has high modulus and brittleness, and a significant difference in linear expansion coefficient from metal coils and conductors.
During the thermal curing molding process, factors such as curing shrinkage, environmental temperature variation, and temperature rise under electrical load lead to multi-dimensional coupled stresses on epoxy cast resin transformers, which are prone to product cracking and damage, as well as insulator life degradation caused by mechanical, electrical, and thermal factors; cast resin dry-type transformers face reliability risks. The quality of epoxy resin is one of the key factors to address these risks.
Xiongrun has long been committed to the research of electrical epoxy resins. It participated in the development of epoxy resins for dry-type transformers of State Grid, passed the acceptance of the State Grid project, and the epoxy resin material was successfully applied in the demonstration project of 110kV 5oMvA large-capacity dry-type transformers. The independently developed Xiongrun epoxy resin materials are widely used in the field of cast resin transformers at home and abroad, including extremely cold regions (requiring compliance with the -65℃C test).
