Xrun’s High‑Thermal‑Conductivity & High‑Toughness Materials Enable Over Three Years of Stable Operation at the 800 kV Jinshajiang Converter Station

The Baihetan‑Zhejiang ±800 kV UHV DC Transmission Project constitutes a key component of China’s West‑to‑East Power Transmission strategy. Stretching from the Baihetan Hydropower Station on the upper Jinshajiang River to Zhejiang Province, the line spans more than 2000 km with a rated transmission capacity of 8 million kW. Fully commissioned in December 2022, it delivers clean hydropower from the Jinshajiang basin to East China.

Shanghai Xrun Epoxy provided self‑developed high‑thermal‑conductivity, high‑toughness epoxy resin insulation materials for the Jinshajiang Converter Station of this project. Tailored for high‑heat‑generation and high‑stress operating conditions within converter‑station equipment, the material preserves electrical insulation while greatly improving thermal conductivity and mechanical strength. Up to now, Xrun’s materials have operated stably at the Jinshajiang Converter Station for more than three years with all performance indicators in good condition, furnishing solid material support for long‑term safe and reliable operation of the UHV DC converter station.
